Notes	Is there any reward for reading the Holy Quran without understanding it? This is one of the academic debates taking place today. Activities such as reading the Quran, trying to understand it, and following its teachings are valuable acts of worship. Worship is done for Allah. Therefore, it is not necessary to understand the inner face of worship. If approached with faith and sincerity, the task of reading and understanding the Quran will be a source of reward for those who work hard. There is many evidence in the Quran and sunnah that reading the Quran is a reason for reward. It is desirable to understand the Quran while reading it. But it is not possible for everyone to achieve this. Reading with understanding is an ideal reading that is encouraged and its reward is of course greater. Not understanding the text of the Quran does not destroy the reward. Therefore, the act of reading the Quran and understanding it and doing what is necessary are deeds that will be evaluated separately. A person is rewarded for reading it whether he understands its meaning or not. In this research, the concepts of recitation, recitation and tertîl, which are related to reading in the Quran, are examined and it is discussed whether reading the Quran without understanding its text is a reward or not.
