In this study, after giving information about the life and works of Halvetiyye-i Uşşâkiyye sheikh Abdurrahman Sâmî Saruhânî Efendi, his work named Nâme-i Muharrem was evaluated in terms of content and the work was transferred to the transcribed text. In addition, since it constitutes the subject of the work, the Karbala incident was briefly explained, information was given about the Karbala Elegies, Maktel-i Hüseyins and Muharramiyes, which are the manifestations of this event in Islamic Literature, and in this context, the mourning tradition performed every year in the month of Muharram was also mentioned. The tradition of writing Karbala elegy dates back to the 20th century. Sami Efendi is an important figure as he is one of the last representatives of the century. Hz. This work, named Nâme-i Muharrem, which he wrote to express his love for Hüseyin and his sadness about the Karbala incident, is also important as it is a beautiful sign of the Ahl al-Bayt love and Karbala sensitivity in the Sunni sects.
