The love story of Salih and Kejë is a widespread story of oral Kurdish literature. From the side of the singers, the return of this success in a wide geographical area is a sign of this. This text is about a story of Salih and Kejë published in the beginning of the 20th century. The printed text was recorded by a French orientalist named M. Dufresne in Sirte and published in the Journal Asitique in 1910. The article paraphrases the printed text and also provides information about the versions of Salih's and Kej's poems that have been preserved through oral sources. In addition to this, it introduces and compares the printed version and the oral versions of this romance in terms of content, characters, time and place.
