Ebî Hafsa is one of the important Arab poets who wrote eulogies to many statesmen during the Umayyad and Abbasid periods and acquired a great fortune thanks to the eulogies he wrote. Despite his great wealth, Mervân did not live a wasteful life like other poets, on the contrary, he tried to protect the wealth he acquired with extreme stinginess. The poet attracted the attention of the Abbasid caliphs thanks to his superior intelligence, especially the Abbasid governor Ma'n b. He came to the fore with the couplets he composed for Zâide. In this article, Marwan b. The life of Abi Hafsa was briefly mentioned and his eulogies were discussed.
