Notes In this article, the so-called renewal studies, which we think started in the nineteenth century and continue until today, and Said Nursi's (1878-1960) Risâle-i Nûr Collection, are discussed. Those who contributed to the so-called renewal studies, in addition to the mental proof of the creed, also determined the solution of the problems related to the principles of belief that people experience in current social life as a basic principle. When the new worldview formed in the West and the thought movements that emerged from it began to affect the Islamic world, they felt the need to renew their methods of approaching the subjects instead of the fixed main principles of the science of theology, and they took this as the basis in their work. Said Nursi is among the new scientific theologians. In this article, in order to examine Said Nursî's Risâle-i Nûr Collection within the framework of the search for innovation in theology, firstly, brief information about theological innovation movements, the subjects on which these movements focus and the names who work on this subject are given. The position of the Risale-i Nur Collection within the general framework of the so-called renewal movements has been tried to be determined. What we think Nursi aimed for with the Risale-i Nur Collection; It focused on three basic issues: investigation and reinforcement of faith, Islamic unity and positive movement, and in this context, it was discussed whether Said Nursi's Risale-i Nur Collection could be considered one of the theological innovation movements put forward at that time.
