Notes	Being able to better understand the understanding of religion of the society in which I live depends on my ability to analyze well the social transformations that have occurred in society throughout its historical development and the intellectuals/supplies that are effective in these transformations. Based on this, the subject of our research is; It constitutes "Ziya Gökalp's Understanding of Religion", which puts forward original ideas about religion. With these views, Gökalp left his mark not only on the period we lived in, but also on the establishment of the new Turkish State.
