Notes Insurance, in general, is a system that aims to compensate for the damage that may occur in the event of risks that may be exposed to people's property and lives. Since the traditional insurance system contains elements such as interest and garar, it causes some hesitations in terms of Islamic law. For this reason, with the development of the Islamic finance system, the takaful system, an Islamic insurance model, has come to the fore. Participation insurance (takaful) is a type of mutual insurance made through mutual assistance and is defined as agreements between individuals exposed to certain risks on the compensation of losses that will arise as a result of these risks (AAOIFI). This study aims to identify and partially evaluate the studies on Islamic insurance, takaful and/or participation insurance in the field of Islamic law in Turkey. For this purpose, the literature on the subject has been identified and classified so far, and the studies carried out especially in the field of Islamic law have been evaluated. However, where necessary, some studies in the field of Islamic economics and finance, which are based on the science of fiqh, have also been examined in this sense. Two criteria were taken into consideration in the evaluation: chronology and type of study. In the study, in addition to scientific meetings such as symposiums and workshops, studies such as books, theses, articles and notifications were focused on and an attempt was made to identify the issues that have been frequently repeated and neglected until today. Thus, it is aimed to present some suggestions that will guide the studies to be carried out in this field in the future. Numerical data and a list of studies conducted in other fields are included in the study. In this respect, the study is important as it is a bibliography attempt. Because to date, no study has been conducted on the participation insurance literature. In this sense, the study will be the first step towards similar studies and will provide the opportunity to access existing studies on the subject from a single source. Insurance is a system that aims to compensate for the loss as a result of exposure of persons or property to various types of potential risks. From the point of view of Islamic law, the traditional insurance system contains aspects such as usurious interest and Gharar; Which causes some concern. As a result, the Takaful system emerged as an alternative Islamic insurance model, and that emergence coincided with the growth of the Islamic financial system. Mutual insurance (Takaful) is a type of mutual insurance that is carried out through cooperation between the participants and is described as agreements of persons exposed to certain risks to compensate for losses that are likely when these risks are realized (AAOIFI). This study aims to enumerate, classify and evaluate studies related to Islamic insurance or Takaful, which were produced exclusively in Turkey. For this purpose, the available literature on this subject has been identified, categorized, and analyzed in a basic way, especially those related to Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic law. In this study, some studies in the field of Islamic economics and finance were examined, which dealt in one way or another with the idea of Islamic insurance. Two criteria were adopted in this classification and evaluation, namely, the chronology, and the type of study. All studies related to Islamic insurance have been highlighted in this study, such as books, scientific theses, articles and research papers, and recommendations issued by conferences, scientific meetings, seminars, and workshops. This study concluded by providing some recommendations that will direct future research in this area. This study also included numerical data and a list of studies conducted in the fields of Islamic insurance or related fields. This study is considered important because it is a unique bibliographic article in the field of Islamic insurance literature in Turkey. Where the first initiatives were monitored until this moment, and there were no similar studies. This study will be the first step towards broader and more comprehensive studies in the field of Islamic insurance literature surveys.
