Notes The subject of the article is Ile-Ife, which is considered the center of creation and the world in Traditional Yoruba Religion. The subject is covered with religious and practical, mythological and human life dimensions. According to mythology, Ile-Ife is the cradle of creation, humanity (Yoruba) and the sacred kingdom. It is the axis where the sky, earth and underground meet. This axis is the Tree of Life planted by the Orishas. The gate of the heavens to the earth and the earth to the skies is on this axis. The point where the creation of the universe and human beings began is the center of Ile-Ife. This is where the palace and temple are now located. Ile-Ife is a common element in different Yoruba creation myths. According to the Yorubas, Oduduva, who descended from the divine realm and established his kingdom on earth, is the first ancestor and king to become the ancestral Orisha, and is the most influential Orisha centered in Ile-Ife. Although Obatala played a role in creation, his influence is secondary. Ile-Ife is the only concrete place of worship of Olodumare. In the center is Oduduva's temple and around it are the temples of other Orishas. A wide variety of festivals, rituals and offerings are performed in the city. This is the center of the world to which all roads lead. Ile-Ife is a center of Yoruba culture and arts.
