Notes Zeyrekzāde Emrullāh Meḥmed Efendi, 10./16. He is an Ottoman scholar who lived in the second half of the century. In works on biography, there is limited information about him and his life; However, there is quite detailed information about him in his surviving manuscripts and in the marginal notes of some copies of these works. This information applies not only to Zeyrekzāde's biography, but also to the 10th/16th century of which he was a part. It also directly mirrors the 19th century Ottoman scientific tradition. As a matter of fact, in this article, in relation to Zeyrekzāde; There are some important details that we did not know until now about many names of the period such as Taşköprīzāde Aḥmed Efendi, Şeyhülislam Ebussuʿūd Efendi and Birgivī Meḥmed Efendi. Zeyrekzāde is the student of Taşköprīzāde; He is authorized by Shaykh al-Islam Ebussuʿūd; He also debated with Birgivī in a council of scholars. In this writing process, Zeyrekzāde has only been the starting point of a journey whose further stages are unknown; However, no attempt was made to carry the Zeyrekzāde portrait, which was owned at the beginning of the journey, to the next stages. On the contrary, the question of who he is has remained alive and in constant motion, gaining new meaning at every stage of the journey. At every destination, new elements were encountered that would complete the sought-after portrait of Zeyrekzāde. This situation, on the one hand, makes it possible to see the reality of the majority of the Zeyrekzāde portrait, and on the other hand, it exemplifies how historical reality is a phenomenon that can multiply and expand depending on the archeology performed.
