Many scientific/linguistic studies have been carried out throughout history in order to ensure a correct understanding of the Quran. These studies include the interpretation of the entire Quran and sometimes are shaped around the analysis of some words in the Quran. Semantic research involving word analysis; It aims to reveal the new meanings gained in the historical process by analyzing all aspects of the relevant words by focusing on factors such as the revelation process, siyâk-sibâk, context of the verses and lexical meaning. This research deals with the Qur'an-centered analysis of the word "Dâr" (راَد)ٌ from an etymological and linguistic perspective. It has been seen that this word, which is mentioned with its root derivatives in fifty-five verses of the Quran, is sometimes used individually and sometimes forms noun and adjective phrases with various words. In this respect, first of all, the surahs and verses in which the word "dar" is mentioned are classified according to the order of revelation. Then, the meanings of the word in question were determined, and the different meanings attributed to it, especially as a result of noun and adjective phrases, were tried to be determined. Finally, words with similar meanings in the Quran with the word discussed were mentioned and a general evaluation was made about them.
