Notes Problems such as depression, anxiety and internet addiction are very common among young people. This study aimed to reveal the current situation of university youth by examining their mental health conditions and related factors before the pandemic process. Study findings revealed that before the pandemic period, 55% of university students showed depressive symptoms and 37% had anxiety disorder symptoms. The rate of people using the internet for social media purposes was determined to be 26%. Smoking, alcohol and internet use have been associated with higher levels of depression and anxiety. It has been observed that the depression level of young people who pray five times a day is statistically lower compared to those who do not. It has been determined that the anxiety levels of university students who fast regularly are statistically lower compared to those who do not.
