Notes In our great book, the Holy Quran, one of the most emphasized topics is the afterlife. Since it was revealed for people's happiness in this world and the hereafter, the Quran contains information and warnings on many related subjects, especially the existence and reality of the afterlife. One of the most important issues that come to the fore in the verses about the hereafter is that the good and bad deeds done in the worldly life will be rewarded and punished in the afterlife, and the scales of justice will be established for this purpose. However, there are considerable disagreements among Islamic scholars on issues such as the reality and nature of the scales and the ways in which deeds will be weighed in these scales. In our study, the issue of scales of justice is discussed in all its aspects. For this purpose, verses related to the subject were identified and philological analyzes were made on the relevant concepts. By researching the narrations on the subject and the opinions of classical and contemporary commentators, the subject has been discussed under different headings. Then, the study was completed by giving our evaluations on the basis of headings. It is hoped that this study we have conducted will contribute to academic studies in terms of understanding the Quran correctly.
