Notes
Assyrians, one of Turkey's ancient communities, migrated to Europe massively in the second half of the 20th century. Various reasons for this migration, including economic, socio-political and religious, are mentioned. In this study, the post-Seyfo trauma experienced by Assyrians and their deprivation of minority rights are assumed to be two main reasons. In addition, the share of the September 6-7 events, the Cyprus Operation, the 1980 Military Coup, the Compulsory Religious Culture course, and the PKK and Hezbollah terrorist incidents in the Southeastern Anatolia region in this process were also examined. In addition, the current situation and the efforts made for the international recognition of "Seyfo" were mentioned.
