Religion is accepted by Farabi as the form of government and lifestyle implemented by the first president in a virtuous society. The aim of this study is to reveal how religion was understood philosophically by Fârâbî and what the need for religion is in creating the laws needed in social life. Based on this, we tried to reach the dimensions of the relationship between religion and law. In addition, the metaphysical basis of the laws and the role of the philosopher and the prophet in creating the laws are also discussed. The issues of what kind of features the laws that will lead to this noble goal have, by whom they should be made, and how they can be implemented and changed throughout the historical process are also included in the research. Finally, the place of the science of Fiqh in a virtuous society was also examined.
