Today, the current situation of Harran, a district of Şanlıurfa, regarding recitation is far from the desired level. This issue necessitates the elucidation of the situation of this place, which was one of the centers of science in the past, in the Science of Recitation. It is possible to come across the names of the people referred to here in tabaqat books and many works on Islamic sciences. When the situation of Harran in the field of Qiraat is examined, based on the biographies of the people in question; It is understood that it has a considerable place in this field. Because most of the qurans mentioned under the title of al-Harrani studied recitation in different countries, so much so that they even provided the first-hand transmission of some of the teachings regarding recitation. Some of these people, who generally lived between the 5th and 7th centuries, wrote works on the science of Qiraat. These scholars collected this knowledge by giving lectures in Harran and other places outside of Harran for years. In addition to his compatriots, others were also among the recitation students. Considering all this, it will be seen that; He also benefited from Harran Kıraatilmîn and contributed to this field.
