The concept of spiritual well-being, which was first used in 1971, has become a concept frequently referred to in today's studies on the psychology of religion. However, multifaceted studies covering the framework, theoretical foundations, interaction areas and development of the concept are quite limited. In order to overcome this limitation, the research aims to examine the concept of spiritual well-being with all its aspects and attempts a new definition to explain the concept of spiritual well-being. One of the important contributions that the article wants to make to the spiritual well-being literature is that it tries to reveal the framework and theoretical foundations of the concept. This study was prepared mainly by the literature research method. First, the semantic relationship of the concept of spiritual well-being with spirituality was revealed and how this concept emerged as a result of the contributions of spirituality to "well-being" was examined. Afterwards, opinions about the content of the concept, its interaction areas, closely related approaches and theoretical foundations were evaluated. Some of the works that constitute the literature on the subject have been analyzed and evaluated analytically in terms of showing the impact areas of spiritual well-being and their contributions to the conceptualization process. According to the results of the research, spiritual well-being is the individual's production of a unique sense of "well-being" from the spiritual areas with which he or she communicates. The contributions of spirituality to "well-being" reinforce the need for the concept of spiritual well-being in Psychology of Religion studies. Spiritual well-being is a conceptual expression of scientific research conducted to identify the unique reflections and positive effects of these contributions on individuals and to measure these types of "well-being".
