In this article, the stages of poem of Palestinian Mahmoud Darwish, who is one of the most important figures in modern Arabic poetry, are discussed. He is a poet who entitles to be investigated because of his poems and struggle. However, in spite of Mahmoud Darwish’s contributions to Arabic and world literature, there are scarcely any academic studies about him. This article aims to be as an introduction for those who would study on him, besides, it illustrates important stages in his poems. It is not possible to evaluate a figure like Mahmoud Darwish, who carried the banner of action of Palestine, independent of political and sociological circumstances. Because of this, the sociological method has been adopted mainly while stages of poems of Darwish were examining. There are different views were argued about poems of him by Arabic literary critics. But this article aims to discuss stages of poems of Darwish by the way of his own consideration. Since the research has exceeded the volume of a journal article, we have decided to create it as two separate articles that this is its second part.
