Notes
Although technology stands out with its aspect that makes the lives of modern people easier in the information age, it actually has some negative effects on the individual and social dimensions. One of these effects, which is clearly observed in almost every age group, is technology addiction. Mentioning technology and addiction together is, of course, something that had no equivalent a thousand years ago. However, in our opinion, religion, which provides solutions to all ages in the context of man's creation codes and his relations with his environment, also has something to say about this widespread problem. This article combines theory and practice in the fields of ethics, education and religion; It examines the traces left by technology addiction on man's relationship with himself, his relationship with his environment and his relationship with God. Each of these dimensions has been examined in an up-to-date, practical and concise manner, based on the relevant Qur'anic verses and hadith narrations. The article touches upon mental dimensions such as "value consciousness", existential dimensions such as "need for freedom", socio-economic dimensions such as "waste", medical dimensions such as "physical health", religious dimensions such as "worship factor" and legal dimensions such as "limits of legitimacy". In fact, when it comes to technology addiction, each of these areas needs more detailed research. If theological knowledge in general and the moral model in the hadith and sunnah in particular are centered, results can be obtained regarding the healthy use of television, computers, mobile phones, social networks and other technological communication tools and environments. However, this cannot be achieved independently of the support and cooperation of social branches, especially psychology. In addition, technology addiction should be evaluated together with other types of addiction, and solution suggestions based on both its religious and moral effects and religious references should be considered together.
