Notes Murathan Mungan, who writes works in the genres of novels, stories, poetry and theater and fictionalizes the memory of the past and tradition, stands out with his original style in Turkish literature. In Mungan's works, elements of folk culture are handled in a way that reflects cultural diversity. On the other hand, some of Mungan's works, such as Cities from Women, focus on the tragic fate of women who are subjected to "male domination" by questioning the hegemonic structure of the male-dominated society. In the story "Judas trees in the heat of Adana", the life perceptions and cultural situations of women who are resistant or unable to resist the pressure of the male-dominated culture are reflected through the criticism of patriarchal discourse. In this study, the confrontation of female characters with a common past and their past after their paths cross again after many years will be examined in the context of archetypal symbolism.
