Notes
The fact that not every country, or even the same country, can benefit from all the blessings of development is also felt to a great extent in Turkey. With the idea of benefiting from its advantages, the industry almost does it. This situation is the main factor that causes the current inter-regional imbalances in the country. It is a fact that the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions of Türkiye are economically and socio-culturally backward. The Southeastern Anatolia Project is Turkey's most comprehensive and integrated project, designed with this in mind. The aim with this project is; In addition to electricity production from the dams to be built on the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, the investment situation throughout the Southeastern Anatolia Region has been analyzed to provide water to all irrigable lands of the region and to raise the people of the region to a socially and economically advanced level of living.
