Notes
The flow of history brings with it the change of cultures, societies, people and perspectives, as well as ages. Accordingly, the world of meaning that people create under the influence of the age and culture they live in also changes as the process progresses, and this change manifests itself in language, which is one of the mirrors of the world of meaning. The change in the world of meaning sometimes occurs as a change in the words and sometimes in the meanings attributed to the words. Because of this slippery structure of language and meaning, in order to understand a text, motif, idiom belonging to a certain period, the language and meaning world of that period must first be analyzed. Taking these issues into consideration, this article tries to see the cloud and shadow metaphor in the early sources of Islamic literature from the meaning world of that day and proposes to look at the narrations conveyed in this direction from that perspective.
