Notes In this study dealing with Peace Journalism, attention is drawn to the practical functioning and application areas of the concept. The approach, which envisages Peace Journalism as a platform that can find a solution to the point of disagreement before it turns into a conflict or develop suggestions for alternative ways, appears as an ideal quest of the modern press era, where the economy-politics of media institutions have changed. For this reason, it is defined as a journalism approach that is far from "other-us" definitions, sees alternative voices as news sources, avoids accusatory tone, and does not use provocative words. The example chosen for the subject is the news about the first 25 meetings of the solution negotiations in Cyprus, which started on September 11, 2008, and were carried out by Dmitris Hristofyas and TRNC 2nd President Mehmet Ali Talat on behalf of the people of the island. The news published in 214 issues of Halkın Sesi, Afrika and Kıbrıs newspapers published in Northern Cyprus between 11 September 2008 and 11 April 2009 were tried to be discussed with the Discourse Analysis method. In this study aimed at evaluating the news about the Cyprus problem, which has remained unresolved for a long time, according to Peace Journalism, the question "What kind of language are the negotiations held to reach a solution reported and are the broadcast lines regarding the negotiations solution-oriented?" is looking for answers to your questions.
