XV. Tire, which came under Ottoman rule in the 19th century, became one of the most popular cities of the empire in a short time. The role of the foundations established by the state administrators in becoming an Ottoman city is considerable. Some important figures of the state resided in the district for reasons such as its economic potential, being a center of administration, and political and religious exiles. Due to their experiences with Tire, some of them established foundations to serve the district and the public. One of them dates back to the 16th century. Behram Kethüda, one of the 19th century Ottoman viziers. Behram Kethüda, the lord of Aydin, had a mosque built in Tire and dedicated it. The place of worship, also known as the New Mosque among the public, is located in the Kurtuluş District of Tire. In this article, the mosque was built in the 16th century. The history of the mosque was discussed by examining the documents belonging to the foundation from the 19th century until the declaration of the Republic. The staff and economic structure of the mosque, which does not have a foundation charter, were evaluated by scanning the sources in the book and document fund such as typeface books, court registers, accounting books, and foundation charters. In addition, nineteen additional foundations related to the mosque were included in the study and the services they provided in the mosque were determined. Thus, a contribution was made to the sociocultural history of Tire.
