In the article, İbn-i Kemal's examination of the art of eloquence "el-üslûbu'lhakîm" in his treatise titled "Risâletun fî Beyâni'l-Uslûbi'l-Hakîm" is discussed. The general subjects of the work are the definition of the art in question, of which es-Sekkâkî is the father, its examples and especially its reflections in the Quran. Pointing out that there is no complete compatibility between the definition of es-Sekkâkî and some of the examples he presented, the author first tried to correct the existing definition in order to put the subject on a more accurate basis. Discussing es-Sekkâkî's examples from both perspectives, Kemal Paşazâde made significant contributions to the understanding of the relevant art by presenting new examples. In addition, the author's application examples on how to synthesize text and context for a more accurate understanding of the verses carry valuable data in terms of exegesis.
