Notes	The other is amputated, see p. Mansour: Introduction to the Journey, Tunisia 1975, and The Program (Tunisia 1981). One of the good Hajj trips, contemporary with two important trips, namely: Al-Abdari’s trip, and Ibn Rushd’s trip, and these are distinguished by the precise urban description, and the details in which he presented the route of the “karim merchants” or “the generous ones,” their homes, and their services between Aydhab and Qus, as this trade route was of particular importance in transporting the trade of India and Yemen to Egypt, the Levant, and the rest of Morocco. It contains his meetings with scholars and his narrations about them, which are truly considered documents of Islamic culture. He began the journey around the year 695 AH/1295 AD, and passed through Tunisia, Alexandria, Cairo, the cities of Egypt, some of its villages, Mecca and Medina, and departed from his Hajj to Damascus, where he met Ibn Taymiyyah. From a copy in an Andalusian handwriting that is regular, regular, continuous, with few errors. It may be from the manuscripts of the late eighth century AH, the last of which was read by Sheikh Abd al-Hay al-Kattani in Fez in the year 1341 AH/1922 AD. He had borrowed it from its first owner, Sheikh Belhassan al-Najjar, before it was purchased for the Zaytouna Mosque.
