Message 5 out of a total of 5 messages | Letter 5 in a total of 5 letters in 50 pages from [118 AH - 168 AH] *It contains a prison sentence from Ahmed Pasha Bey at the Zaytouniyah Mosque in the year 1256 AH = 1840 AD. * Al-I’lam by Al-Zirkli, vol. 3, p. 355 - Sarkis in his Mu’jam, vol. 2, p. 1595 - (Al-Laqani) (971 - 1078 AH = 1563 - 1668 AD) Abdul Salam bin Ibrahim bin Ibrahim Al-Laqani Al-Masri: Sheikh of the Mulkiya in his time in Cairo. He wrote (Explanation of the Algerian System - I) in Doctrines, and (Ithaf Al-Murid Sharh Jawharat Al-Tawhid - I) either Al-Jawhara is from his father’s compilation, and (Al-Siraj Al-Wahhaj in the Discourse on the Night Journey and Mi’raj - Kh) (Summary of the Abstract of the Umdat al-Muraydah) It was written by: the well-known Sheikh: Baqadi Zadeh. He mentioned it at the beginning and finished it in Muharram in the year 1035, one thousand and thirty-five. Then his son: Abd al-Salam, who died in the year 1078, seventy-eight, explained it. He also composed it in a few papers that he called: (Irshad al-Murid), and included it, Mukhtar Ahl al-Sunnah, without more. When he produced it and some of the students of Tahruk addressed it, he revealed what revealed the shortcomings of his resolve. So he proceeded to explain the middle, which he called: (Ithaf al-Murid) and completed: On the twentieth of the month of Ramadan in the year 1047, forty-seven, and its beginning was: (Praise be to God, who has raised flags for the people of the Sunnah of Muhammad among those who fail...etc.) He mentioned: He had summarized what his teacher had commented on (Umdat al-Murid) in a few pages, so they took it as he mentioned. * Translated by Sarkis in his Dictionary, vol. 2, p. 1595, by Al-Laqani “Abdul Salam” (971 - 1078 AH) Abdul Salam bin Ibrahim Al-Laqani, the forerunner and sheikh of the Malikis in his time in Cairo. In the beginning of his affairs, he was according to what was said by the renegade people of desires. When his father died, he took his place in the Al-Azhar Mosque and was removed from what he had in the days of his youth. He appeared in knowledge and investigation that they had not thought of, and many people benefited from him. He was chivalrous and compassionate. He died in Cairo.
