| Notes | A complete Qur’an with its opening surrounded by a leafy frame in the Safavid style, in which the color azure blue was used, the dividing lines were extended in light red, and some of the interconnecting floors were gone. The text was written on a detailed background into gilded rectangles for each line, and a light space separates one line from the other. The surahs are surrounded by italic Persian text, including a frame. The lines of this explanation were separated by zigzag lines between which gold was added. The vocabulary of the surahs were written in red, and the explanations in black ink. It dates back to the 10th century AH. The copy was restored in an ancient way, of extreme quality and accuracy (view from the manuscript gallery) |
