Notes
Annotations: Very few marginal annotations made in pencil in Spanish, therefore, in the entire volume there are only about five; pointing out in the text with an x what is missing or wrong. - The author of the annotations is unknown. - On the cover there are three labels stuck in French, the most interesting is the upper one that indicates the content of the volume and the author of the work, along with a very brief description of the manuscript where it includes the number of pages, the incipit as well as other information. - While in the second the name Silvestre de Sacy appears and below the number 204. In the third and last the capital letter "Le Ch. Ferrao de Castelbranco. 70 Avenue des Champs-Elysées" appears in French. - On the same cover in its upper part there appears a reference to a folio of the volume and in Arabic to its contents. - On the verso of the second final flyleaf there are annotations both in pencil and in black ink in different languages. - The ones in French say: “M 90 arabe Ibn Khaldoun”. - Meanwhile, those that appear in Spanish include the old signatures of the volume. - On the other hand, in the two-term Arabic annotation, only the first word can be read (امين). - Furthermore, in the upper left margin, both on the back cover and on the verso of the last folio of the flyleaf, the inscription “Sy 204” appears, which probably refers to the signature that this volume had when it belonged to Silvestre de Sacy [Bibliothèque de M. le Baron Silvestre de Sacy, Volume 1, p. 36]., Arabic Oriental script, Special features: Text without vocalization, Catalog of the Exhibition held on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary: 1932-1982 p. 17, Colophon: Not stated, Content: Muqaddima [Incomplete, headless and apodous] (GAL, S II, p. 490), Copyist: Not stated, Description: Lagrange, G. de [et al.] Bibliothèque de M. le Baron Silvestre de Sacy, Paris, Imprimerie royale, 1842-1847. Zoomorphic figure that resembles that of a dog or a wolf. These are probably the letters “EG” in capital letters, separated by a stem topped with five leaves. The filigree in question appears mutilated in its lower part., Foliation: Without original foliation. - Modern foliation in pencil whose author is unknown. The last numbered folio is 149, on the verso of this same folio appears 150., H damaged, mutilated, loose: No, H blank: H blank: the recto of the first unfoliated folio of the volume, H missing or added: H missing: The claim on folio 149v suggests that the manuscript is not complete.
