f. 1r.1: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
f. 1v.2: We praise You, O He who has opened our chests to summarize the statement by clarifying the meanings, and enlightened our hearts with the sparkles of clarification from the revelations of the repeated, and we send our blessings upon Your Prophet Muhammad, the guide to the evidence of his miracle with the secrets of eloquence, and upon his family and companions who have attained the forefront in the field of eloquence and prowess.
f. 1v.6: And then the poor servant says to God who is Rich, Masoud Ibn Omar, called Saad Al-Taftazani. I previously explained the summary of Al-Muftah and its song with Al-Isbah on the authority of Al-Misbah, then I saw many virtuous people asking me to direct the effort towards shortening it, so I set myself to explain this book to me according to their suggestion, secondly, and to take great care in shortening the first secondly - f. 208v.10: Given the requirements of the circumstances and that each of the surahs, in relation to the meaning it contains, includes the kindness of Al-Fatihah and entails a good ending — g. 208v.12 May God Almighty seal us with goodness and make it easy for us to attain the best treasure for the sake of the Prophet and his honorable God, Muhammad, and his entire family. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions, and peace be upon him always until the Day of Judgment, and peace be upon the messengers. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
f. 208v.18 The completion of the writing of this blessed copy fell on the blessed Wednesday, the fourth of the holy month of Ramadan, in the year one hundred and sixteen of the Prophet’s Hijra. May the best prayers and peace be upon its author, at the hand of the poorest, and upon his Muslim sheikhs, all of you, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, and may peace be upon him until the Day of Judgment.
