Fol. 5b.1: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Fol. 5b.2: O He who created man from a lineage of clay, then made him a sperm in a secure resting place, then created the sperm into a clot, then made the clot into a lump, then made the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh, then created another creation. Blessed are you, O best of creators. We praise you for the cattle you have bestowed upon us, and we thank you for your kindness to us in the darkness of the wombs. Glory be to you, from the Wise, the Powerful One. You have perfected your crafts according to your ancient knowledge. And You created man in the best manner. There is no god but You, Lord of the Worlds. We pray and greet the best of those who were born alcoholic, anointed, with their navel cut off, clean, and circumcised. Our Master and Master, Muhammad al-Sayyid Amin, to whom you sent down Your Book, upon which no doubt had ever arisen. God created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and gray hair, and you are the Most Merciful of the Merciful. His luminous temple, and he raised them with what God provided him with of divine bounty, and their chests were filled with verses and clear remembrance, and he gave abundant peace, raining abundantly until the Day of Judgment.
Fol. 6a.7: And then the editor of human medicine books, Raji Afoureh, Muhammad al-Tunisi Ibn Sulaiman, says: “When knowledge is the best acquisition and the greatest thing, the intelligent person takes care - Fol. 75b.1: And for the one who is fourteen years old, two-thirds of a drahm and a stubble for that, and God is the Healer, there is no Lord other than Him and there is no god but Him - Fol. 75b.3 And this is the last of the pearls collected by Al-Bayk Al-Mumi of the precious and composed pearls that depict the treatment of children’s illnesses. God is the healer, and praise be to Him.
Fol. 75b.5 The completion of its transmission was on the Day of Al-Abaa (sic!) on the twenty-fourth of the month of Jumada Al-Awwal in the year 1275, five hundred and seventy-five, by the hands of the poorest and most needy of God Almighty’s servants, the poor servant, Sayyid Muhyiddin Al-Habashi, son of the late Sayyid Saeed Al-Habashi, and the aforementioned servant of the custodian of the professor, Sheikh Muhammad Abi Taqala, may God sanctify his secret, the Mighty, Amen.
