Sample Text f.81v.1: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful f.81v.2: Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon the Master of Messengers and upon all his family and companions f.81v.3: And then the poor servant says to his Most High Lord, Abdullah bin Ahmad al-Maqdisi al-Hanbali: On the night of the third of the sacred month of Hajj in the year 1091, a white pillar appeared in the direction of Morocco, which is attributed to the planet Jupiter, as Ptolemy mentioned it, as he stated a general law, so he said, “If you want to know the image What causes that effect and what events it indicates, look at its shape and color - f.83r.10: It indicates war and fighting in Christian lands, the emergence of some Kharijites in some lands, death in the lands of the Byzantines and the Far West, and fighting in Christian lands. And the Muslims, and gaining victory over them, and surrendering some castles out of intense fear, and supporting Sultan Muhammad, may God Almighty protect him, against his enemies, and gaining control of the country, and taking the lands of the Christians. This is a summary of what I mentioned in my message. It is called Tuhfat Al-Bab fi Bayan Hikam. Al-Adhanab - f.83v.5 Edited on the thirteenth of Al-Haha in the year 1091 by its poor author to his Most High Lord, Abdullah bin Ahmad Al-Maqdisi Al-Hanbali. May God treat him with His hidden kindness.
