Fol. 1b.1: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his noble Prophet, and upon his family.
Fol. 1b.2: Praise be to God, the praise He deserves for His abundant goodness and prayers
Fol. 1b.3: And after that, he sought from me to save my brothers and whomever I needed to help with what he allowed, and we endeavored to write a book on medicine containing its laws - Fol. 293b.8: In the general principles of medicine, it is enough to take into account the classification of our book in individual medicines, and God is the One Who is the Helper. In its absence, O God, forgive its companion, its writer, its narrator, and all of its believers. In the middle of the month of the last quarter of the year seven hundred and twenty-nine. Praise be to Him, prayers, salutations, and blessings.
