Notes The introduction of this booklet is written by Miyan Khalil Ahmad Sharqpuri. The foreword is by Miyan Zahir Shah Qadiri Swati, where he mentions the publication of "Al-Tahqiq al-Hasan fi Nafi al-Duʿa al-Ijtimaʿi baʿd al-Faraʾid wa-al-Sunan" by the Panjpiri school of thought, published in Zhob, Balochistan. He also refers to other pamphlets published by the same group, all based on the book "Rah-i Sunnat" by Sarfaraz Gagharwi. According to the booklet, this group prohibits Muslims from performing every virtuous act, such as collective supplication (duʿa ijtimaʿi) after obligatory (sunnah) prayers, which they label as innovation (bidʿah) and strictly forbid. In response, Miyan Zahir Shah Qadiri Swati praises the author for writing this booklet to guide Muslims. The author begins by citing verses from the Qurʾan and Hadith, discussing the act of supplication (duʿa), its purpose, the evidence supporting it, and the Hanafi school of thought's stance. He then provides evidence for supplication after the funeral prayer (namaz janazah) based on Hadith. He addresses the arguments of those who oppose the practice and argue against its permissibility, arguing that those who prohibit it follow a Muʿtazilite theology. An appendix by Allama Miyan Zahir Shah Qadiri Swati is included at the end for reference. | Digitization for the Sufi Shrine Libraries of the Afghan-Pakistan Frontier collection was sponsored by the Modern Endangered Archives Program with funding from Arcadia. | unknown
