Sample Text	Since the publication of Götz Schregle's “German-Arabic Dictionary” over forty years ago (Harrassowitz 1974), Nabil Osman's reference work is the first modern large-scale dictionary for the Arabic language. The German-Arabic dictionary presents the general vocabulary of contemporary German and modern standard Arabic, taking into account the regionalities of written and colloquial language, and contains numerous terms from all subject areas that are essential for adequate contemporary communication and for the original language reception of modern literature and journalism. The dictionary lists around 70,000 lemmas, of which around 35,000 are nouns and 10,000 each are verbs and adjectives/adverbs. In addition to the one-word names, idiomatic phrases and proverbs were also included. Numerous synonyms and word combinations provide the corresponding word context, examples of use clarify language usage and style, and detailed grammatical information makes it easier to use the word correctly. All Arabic entries have been fully vocalized and grammaticalized for the first time. The dictionary offers appropriate translations into your own and the target language and can be actively used by speakers of both languages. The German-Arabic dictionary is an indispensable tool and tool for students and teachers, for language beginners and language experts. Dr. phil. Nabil Osman, Arabist, Germanist and Romanist, has been at home in Germany for many years as well as in his native Egypt. For three decades he has headed the Usrati language institute and the Usrati textbook publisher, which he founded, in Munich and has made a name for himself as the author of several Arabic textbooks.
