In 2013, the author published a work entitled “Contributions to Arabic Grammar”, in which he examined the meaning and function of four particles in addition to the morpheme fā’ilatun. Following this, further particles (ruwaida, haihāta, yā and immā) are presented in the “New Articles” in chapters 1-4. Chapters 5-8 apply to various coordination models, including the so-called wāw al-ma’īya. The importance of the “casus emphaticus” is emphasized, which has previously been interpreted in grammars as the accusative. The 9th part deals with 65 verses in which the poets, obeying the requirements of meter and rhyme, exchanged dominant members of the sentence with each other. A total of 684 verses and prose passages, presented in Arabic and in German translation, are evaluated in this book. The contents of the volume are made accessible through a list of names, indexes of rhymes, Koran quotations and grammatical terms as well as a list of key words.
