Notes The study examined examples of depictions of chariots in the Surnama Murad III manuscript dated 990 AH/1582 AD, which is preserved in the Topkapi Saray Museum under the number (1344), which dates back to the era of Sultan Murad III (983:1003 AH/1595:1574 AD). This manuscript was known as the “Book of Celebrations,” and it was the first book to depict circumcision ceremonies, to which the Ottomans gave great attention, as it displays special ceremonies. The circumcision of Prince Muhammad bin Sultan Murad III, which lasted about 52 days and nights. These celebrations included many displays by different craft sects as they displayed their goods in front of Sultan Murad III. These displays were among the most important celebration ceremonies. Craftsmen were interested in displaying their wares in front of the Sultan and those present in an appropriate way to advertise their products, using special vehicles for each sect. The research dealt with a descriptive and analytical study of the depictions of these vehicles, through which we were able to identify the different designs. The vehicles of the craft sects participating in the celebration and the extent to which the function of the sect affects the interior and exterior design of the vehicle. The study produced some examples of images of these vehicles, which are: from (Plate No. 1) to (Plate No. 8).
