Notes This research examines the life of the author Badr al-Din bin Habib al-Shami al-Halabi (d. 779 AH), as he is considered one of the historians of the eighth century AH and lived in an era that researchers have given several names, including the Mamluk era and the Ottoman era, and there are those who call it the Tatar era or the Mongol era. The writer attained a high scientific and historical position among the wise men of this era, as he took over the writing of the creation, the secret, the judicial representation, the writing of the noble ruling, the ruling signature, and other religious and administrative functions, in addition to writing and teaching.
