Notes Malik b. Many commentaries have been made on al-Muwattaʾ compiled by Enes (d. 179/795). Kemâhî (d. 1171/1757), one of the Ottoman hadith scholars of the 18th century, is an important name who wrote a commentary on al-Muwattaʾ, one of the reliable hadith books. Kemâhî's Muvatta's Imam Muhammed b. The commentary he wrote on the narration of Hasan al-Shaybānī, named al-Muheyyā fī kashf-i esrāri’l-Muvattaʾ, is important in terms of the period and geography in which it was written, the sources he used and his unique commentary methods. As in all kinds of understanding and interpretation activities, the practical sects to which they are affiliated, along with many factors, influence the hadith commentators' interpretation of the narrations. It is possible to see more clearly the influence of the sect to which they belong in the studies of commentators on works in which the views of the sects they are not affiliated with are mostly present. In this study, the reflections of the Hanafi identity will be focused on the issues that create conflict between the Maliki and Hanafi sects in the Muwattaʾ commentary of al-Kemâhî, a member of the Hanafi sect, one of the Ottoman hadith scholars.
