Notes The article discusses the search for "better cities to live in" with a semiotic approach in the context of the relationship between people's meaning of life and space. Human beings, who shape the space from the first moment of its existence and whose perception and meaning of life have an impact on this shaping, establish not only a physical but also a psychological bond with the space. In the article, the connection between man's effort to make sense of space and place is explained with various examples, and examples are given of how the effort of man, who tries to make sense of his life with the Quran, to become a "person of the Quran" is reflected in places.
