Notes
This historical study provides an explanation of the Saudi influence in the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula during the period (1208-1227 AH / 1793-1812 AD), as the caravans of the Levantine pilgrims and the caravans of the Egyptian pilgrims came under the authority and administration of the first Saudi state (1175-1223 AH / 1744-1818 AD) directly, and it also included villages and ports in the entire northwest of the Arabian Peninsula. The leaders of the Saudi state had sent military campaigns to the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula until it was annexed to their direct influence, which had a positive impact on all levels. In light of this major event of the Saudi state’s annexation of the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula, the Ottoman Empire sent its military forces to restore the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula and the Hijaz to its influence again.
