The study aims to shed light on the position of Imam Muhammad bin Yahya Hamid al-Din regarding the Ottoman intervention in the Asir region in 1311 AH, corresponding to 1894 AD, and to identify the political situation in Yemen. The study required the use of the historical research method to analyze the facts and events and arrange their historical sequence. The study contained an introduction, a conclusion, and four axes. The introduction dealt with the problem of the study, its importance, and its objectives. The first axis dealt with the literal text of the document and its criticism, and the second axis dealt with terminology. The document and its symbols. The third axis dealt with the ideas discussed in the document, while the fourth and final axis reviewed the historical analysis of the document. The conclusion dealt with the results reached by the study, perhaps the most important of which was the interpretation of the historical analysis of the document for the historical dimensions behind the political position of Imam Al-Mansur Muhammad bin Yahya towards the Ottoman intervention in Asir.
