Internal and external factors in the Ottoman Sultanate, along with the concluding of Ottoman-European treaties since the sixteenth century, had a major impact on the disintegration of economic policies and the weakness of the Ottoman administration. European countries in general, and Britain in particular, began to exploit this by concluding treaties with the Ottoman Sultanate to obtain commercial, political, and religious privileges, which helped it gradually penetrate the lands belonging to the Sultanate. In addition, it was The financial crises that the Sultanate went through and the state of weakness and weakness it reached, in addition to its readiness to fight the Crimean War of 1269-1272 AH / 1853-1856 AD against Russia, had a major impact on the penetration of European countries, especially Britain, there by providing loans to the Ottoman Sultanate. Thus, foreign loans, along with internal and external factors, opened the doors for the Sultanate to begin European investments, especially British ones.
