Notes This research revolves around the writer Muhammad bin Qansuh - one of the veteran writers of the Mamluk and Ottoman states - who was an important link between the two eras, and the main eyewitness to the end of the Mamluk state and the establishment of the Ottoman state. He was close to the political and administrative authority in the country at that time. However, researchers and translators neglected to mention him, or introduce his important literary works - during which he documented life during the period of political transformation between the two eras - and so his fate was neglected, like other writers and poets of that important historical era. Therefore, I translated for him, introduced his manuscript literary works, and the places where they are preserved in the world’s libraries, and traced his poems and poems mentioned by Ibn Iyas - his friend - in his book (Bada’i’ al-Zuhur fi Waqi’a al-Dhur), explained their purposes, and monitored Ibn Qansuh’s position on the living life of his time. I concluded my research by reviewing his manuscript in praise of the King of the Order, “Khayr Bey,” as he called it, and I presented it with an introduction in which I revealed the importance of the art of the muwashahat, and its development in the Ottoman era compared to before.
