Notes In its five parts, this study monitors the most important primary sources that constitute an essential resource for studying the history of Jordan and its civilization from the beginning of Islam until the present time, and affects the basic groups that must be referred to in writing history, and shows their importance and the extent of their closeness to the history of Jordan throughout the Islamic eras. The study showed an abundance of major sources of historical information about Jordan. Jordan was present in historical literature and various types of Arab and Islamic heritage books. General history books, books of conquests, biographies, classes, geographical literature books, Arab and foreign travel books, books of memoirs and biographies, newspapers and newspapers, just as the Ottoman records of various types (Sharia court records, land titles records, and civil registries) were an insurmountable source for drawing a picture of Jordan in the Ottoman era until the establishment of the Emirate of Transjordan. Historical material increased in the documents of some European countries, especially British, American and German documents. This study has taken into account the review of the most prominent of these sources, taking into consideration the chronology as much as possible, without expanding the analysis of their contents and the directions of their writers according to what the available space requires, and just stating the extent of their contribution to the formation of historical knowledge about the Jordanian country, its population and its social components from the Islamic conquest of the Levant until the era of the formation of the Qatari state and what followed, which provides a reference for researchers and a guiding guide in their approach to the history of Jordan and its study.
