Al-Ghazi bin Qais Al-Andalusi is one of the most important scholars who spoke about drawing the Holy Qur’an. He is one of the first scholars in this field, and he had a prominent influence on those who came after him. Imams of this art have quoted him; Abu Amr Al-Dani, and Abu Daoud Suleiman bin Najah. Al-Ghazi bin Qais wrote a book on drawing the Noble Qur’an, which he called “Satires of the Sunnah.” However, this book is lost and has not reached us, and perhaps it was lost at an early time, because those who quoted from it are very few, and most of them are from the ancients. This research came to introduce Al-Ghazi bin Qais Al-Andalusi in general, and to introduce him to his efforts in the field of Ottoman painting in particular. This aims to The research also seeks to trace what was reported from Al-Ghazi bin Qays about drawing the words of the Holy Qur’an and collecting them, in order to find out what he said about this noble science, while comparing what was reported from him with what has been established in the work in the science of drawing.
