Notes This research deals with six tombstones “published and studied for the first time”; Their historical and archaeological importance is due to the fact that they all belong to one family, which is the family of Taher Pasha, the governor of Egypt in the year (1218 AH / 1803 AD). For the first time, light is shed on this governor and his biography in this research. In addition to what this evidence provides from the historical and archaeological standpoints, it is also a strong addition to the social systems and family ties, in terms of identifying the genealogy, names, titles and dates of death of the members of the same family. This evidence is the oldest historically; It belongs to Taher Pasha himself, and is dated to the year (1218 AH / 1803 AD), and five other witnesses from members of his family, all dating back to the era of the family of Muhammad Ali Pasha. One of them belongs to one of his daughters, while the other four belong to his grandchildren from his late son Ahmed Pasha Taher. The study will shed light on them from the archaeological and artistic aspects, as well as describe them accurately, and then analyze the inscriptions on them in terms of form and content. The study here also recommends the necessity of registering them among the Islamic monuments. To protect them from tampering, and to rely on this study in their scientific and archaeological documentation.
