Objectives: This study aims to shed light on Egyptian archive documents in the first half of the nineteenth century. To clarify the extent of its importance for writing the history of modern Arabs in general, and the history of the Arabian Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula in particular. It is not the aim of the study to review its content; This requires books and research is not sufficient. Method: The study is based on a descriptive and analytical methodology, following the historical research method from the oldest to the most recent. The study initially introduces the concept of document and documentation, the importance of historical documents, and their role in writing history. Then, it reviews the historical development of the Documentary Archive Preservation House in Egypt, arriving at some classifications that serve the history of the region concerned with the study in the specific historical period, such as the governor of the “Bahr-e-Bara” office, the office of Sunni supremacy (Arabic and Ottoman Turkish), the office of jihadism, the office of the Khedive, the governor of Abdeen, the Levant, the Hejaz, miscellaneous, and the British Foreign Office documents, photos of which are preserved in the National Archives House. In Cairo, and finally, it reviews the efforts of those who collected and published some of these documents: orders and correspondence issued by the dear of Egypt, Muhammad Ali, a statement of the documents of the Levant and what helps to understand them and clarifies the intentions of Muhammad Ali the Great, basic documents from the modern history of Lebanon (1517 - 1920), the Egyptian army and the conquest of Acre (1831 - 1832), from the documents of the Egyptian archives in the history of the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula, from the documents of the Arabian Peninsula in the modern era. Results: The study emphasized the importance of the Egyptian archive for writing the history of the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula in the first half of the nineteenth century. Conclusion: The study confirms that Egyptian archive documents represent an important source for the history of the Levant region, the Arabian Gulf, and the Arabian Peninsula in the first half of the nineteenth century AD.
