This research aims to highlight the development of printing in the Hejaz Province from 1883 to 1918 AD, identify the first efforts to introduce it to this state, and shed light on its establishment there. With the efforts of Governor Othman Nuri Pasha, the research required the use of the historical research method, the descriptive method, and the analytical method. The research contained four axes, an introductory introduction, and a conclusion. The introduction included the beginning of the Ottoman Empire’s permission to establish printing presses. The first axis dealt with the first efforts to demand that scholars demand the necessity of introducing the printing press to the Hijaz. The second axis was devoted to the efforts to establish the printing press and the formation of its management, while the third axis dealt with the scientific services of the printing press. The fourth axis was devoted to Due to the emergence of private printing presses in Hijaz and their enlightening role, the last section concluded by addressing the intellectual and cultural impact of printing on Hijaz society. Then the research concluded with a conclusion that included a number of results related to the topic, the most prominent of which is that the demands of scholars to establish a printing press in the state of Hijaz, and the efforts of the governor (Othman Nuri Pasha 1299-1309 AH - 1882-1891 AD) in establishing it, and the tasks it carried out contributed to the development of the cultural movement.
