The issue of the Muslims of Andalusia is considered one of the fundamental issues that occupied the minds of many researchers and thinkers, as it is a sensitive issue affecting the faith. After eliminating the Islamic presence in the Iberian Peninsula, Spain aimed to Christianize the Muslims and eliminate the Moriscos in Andalusia after the fall of Granada, the last Muslim stronghold in 1492 AD. When they were afraid of the persecution and abuse of the Christians, they resorted to seeking help from their brothers in the Islamic Maghreb, especially Algeria, which was known for its strength after that. It was officially annexed to the Ottoman Empire, thanks to its naval fleet, which became famous and made it the master of the western basin of the Mediterranean Sea during the 16th century AD and the beginning of the 17th century AD. The Algerians responded to the call of their Morisco brothers and took upon themselves the task of saving them from the miserable situation they had become in Andalusia.
