Notes {AR} The story of the Antichrist is considered one of the signs of the great end of the world. It was depicted mainly and in common with Ottoman religious manuscripts, especially those related to the signs of the end of the world during the century (10-12 AH / 16-18 AD). The study will address the depictions of the Antichrist in Ottoman religious manuscripts, which were linked to political circumstances that led to an increase in the production of these depictions, such as the manuscript of the events of the Resurrection, the manuscript of Mafatih al-Jafr al-Jami’, and others. The study shows how The Ottoman photographer about the Antichrist and his descriptions, as well as identifying the depicted subjects of the Antichrist, in addition to showing the extent of the Ottoman photographer’s knowledge and familiarity with the noble hadiths narrated about the Antichrist, and listing the common and different features between his depictions and comparing them with the noble hadiths and the texts of the illustrated manuscripts. The study followed the descriptive approach, which includes a brief clarification of the definition of the name of the Antichrist in light of the Islamic faith, followed by clarification and explanation of the images of the Antichrist in Ottoman religious manuscripts, and the comparative analytical approach. It deals with the pictorial themes of the Antichrist, then explains the artistic style of the depictions, analyzing them, and comparing them in light of what was stated in the texts of the illustrated manuscripts and the noble hadiths {EN} (10th-12th H./16th-18th G.) centuries. The study addresses paintings of Al-Masīḥ Ad-Dajjāl in the Ottoman religious manuscripts associated with political circumstances that increased the production of these paintings, such as Ahwal-i Kıyamah and Miftah-ı Cifru'l-Cami. It illustrates how the Ottoman painter expressed Al-Masīḥ Ad-Dajjāl and his features, defined themes Ad-Dajjāl, demonstrated familiarity and knowledge of the Prophetic Hadiths on Al-Masīḥ Ad-Dajjāl, determined the common and different features between his paintings, and compared them to the Prophetic Hadiths and the texts of illustrated manuscripts. The study adopted the descriptive approach by presenting an overview of Al-Masīḥ Ad-Dajjāl in the light of the Islamic faith and then an illustration and explanation of the paintings of Al-Masīḥ Ad-Dajjāl in the Ottoman religious manuscripts and the comparative analytical approach. It investigated the illustrated topics of Ad-Dajjāl, explained and analyzed the artistic style of illustrations, and compared them in the light of the texts of illustrated manuscripts and Prophetic Hadiths.
